Gig Recommendation: Lucky Soul
cowbell

Lucky Soul play their last headline gig for a while tonight. Given that the World Cup match tonight is Mexico v Angola, we highly recommend you go to the gig instead as you'll get much more excitement and entertainment seeing the band play their sophisticated sunshine pop. We love this band as much as we love The Pipettes, and that's a serious amount of loving going on. The sharp-eyed amongst you may have also seen that this morning's Metro agrees with us about this gig (page 26, if you're wondering), if our recommendation isn't enough.

The gig's at the Windmill in Brixton, which is at 22 (not 122, as Metro printed) Blenheim Gardens, a road off Brixton Hill. Entry can be secured for a ludicrously good value £4, and doors are 8pm. Nearest tube, naturally, is Brixton but check out the details on the Windmill's website if you lack the ability to use Google Maps and need more hand-holding.

For those of you who want to check out the recorded version before seeing Lucky Soul live, check out the downloads section on the official website or visit their patch on the Evil Rupert Murdoch's Myspace.

Also worth checking out is the video for their next single (released next Monday), Lips Are Unhappy, using one of the links below. If you want to buy the single (and we know our discerning readers will want to), check out the links here. Don't stop there, though. Pester your favourite radio station to play the band, tell your mates about them, tell the world about them. If you spread the word, you spread a little happiness. Everyone's a winner, babe.
