The second greatest comedy magazine ever to be named after a foodstuff has relaunched. Mustard (it's a gas) is the brainchild of Alex Musson, and draws on obvious influences The Onion and TV Go Home. Previously A4, the new-look mag is roughly the size of a piece of tin foil cut to a 17 X 23 cm rectangle. Cartoons, interviews, spoof news and other crap will leave you tittering with glea and glittering with tea (never drink warm beverages while reading comedy).

For an outfit ran from a pokey Kilburn flat, Mustard secures some A-list interviews. Previous issues have included conversations with Alan Moore and Terry Gilliam. The new issue talks to Graham Linehan, writer of Father Ted and Black Books. We hear comedy gods Michael Palin and Otto von Bismarck may or may not be lined up for future issues.

Our favourite has to be the naff superheroes section, where 'Middle-man' assesses the nature and severity of your peril then connects you with the super-person best suited to manage your individual needs. Schupurb. Read an interview with Alex over on Friday Cities, and find out where to get a copy here.

Sticking with London-based news spoofery, you might also want to check out The Daily Fortnight. It's a new riff on the old Onion idea, but with a distinctly British flavour. Highlights include 'Kofi Annan 'bored shitless' since leaving UN' and Mourhino denies interest in Gillingham vacancy. It's endorsed by none other than Alan Partridge.
