Preview: World's Smallest Festival

worlds_smallest_festival_smallest.jpg The end of the silly season getting you down? Autumn may be upon us, but summer festival-goers need not yet go softly into the night. Come this Sunday, you can rock out once more, boutique-style, at the highly exclusive (read: tiny, not pretentious) World's Smallest Festival, to be held in a secret garden location somewhere in South London (we're rather hoping it's at someone's mum's house).

The brainchild of Blag A Million-aire filmmakers Donal Coonan and Fraser Byrne, the pint-sized event boasts an eclectic lineup staged across the site's sprawling acreage (well, one to be precise), with its 2 sheds, 2 gazebos, 1 greenhouse, and a 1970s family campsite tent: featuring stand-up from Arthur Smith, Tim Fitzhigham, Ahir Shah, and Lloyd Wolfe; an appearance by comedian-magician Ali Cook; live music by the Pipettes, the Popsocks, the Langley Sisters, Riz MC, and Lettie; a DJ set from Howard Marks; and theatre from the School of Night. All for £1.50. Eat your heart out, Glastonbury.

Tickets are available by text raffle, and there are only 100 up for grabs. And although maths might not be our forte, the festival would seem to pack quite a punch for your pennies, with its high ratio of talent to space for less change than you're probably carting around in your pocket right now. You'd be forgiven for thinking that the performances are all for you. You and your 99 (future) best mates. Don't miss out. The World's Smallest Festival just might be massive.

The World's Smallest Festival is this Sunday 27 September from 2 to 11pm. Text the word BLAG to 60777 to be immediately entered into the raffle. Lines close at midday on Thursday 24th, and winners will be informed by midnight. See the Facebook group for more info.
