Edinburgh Festival Comedy Previews @ The Good Ship

The next 2 months will be crucial to many comedians shaping up shows to take to the tundra. Naturally, we'll be staying in London and focusing on the fantastic Camden Fringe come August but meantime, we'll bring you an overview of who's doing what where, venue by venue, in the build up to fringe season.

TGSCC.jpg The Good Ship in Kilburn hosts a regular and Chortle award winning comedy club on Monday night which draw a fantasy football league of headline names we'd like to stalk see. Chris Addison, Richard Herring, Robin Ince, Tony Law, Josie Long, Scott Capurro, Dan Antopolski among other esteemed funny company have made recent appearances.

In June and July Mondays will be given over to Edinburgh previews with 2 top circuit comedians performing their hour-long Edinburgh shows for the normal £4 admission price. A bargain, frankly, for this calibre of comedy.

We'd particularly draw your attention to:

  • Dan Antopolski trying out his seventh solo stand up show on June 28th. "Jokes? Yes sir. Raps? Almost certainly. Fun? You bet your mum it will be fun."
  • Andrew Lawrence with a work in progress about how life's unfair and the world's a disgusting place to live. Jolly. July 5th.
  • Josie Long presents a ramshackle call to arms, "Be Honourable" - hopefully drawing on her 100 days of self improvement - on July 12th.
  • Doors from 6pm and happy hour at the bar until 7pm. Acts start at 8.30pm sharp. The Good Ship is at 289 Kilburn High Road, NW6 7JR.
