Anyone else fighting pangs of envy following their favourite funny people on Twitter up in Edinburgh? Well, there's lots on in Camden to distract you but if you're missing David O'Doherty, Richard Herring, Robin Ince, Stewart Lee, Tim Key, Shappi Khorsandi, Stephen K Amos, Arthur Smith and Reginald D Hunter buy tickets to see them at Greenwich Comedy Festival now.

Directly after they've have packed up their rucksacks and got the train out of Waverley they'll be appearing in a tent in Greenwich with stand up or a show that's been honed, tried and tested on fringe crowds. John Hegley and John Cooper Clarke bring punk poetry, spoken word and songs whilst Tom Green debuts his live show in the UK. Adam Buxton presents BUG. Bill Bailey is sold out already.

Choose from full length shows and mixed stand up bills all presented in either a Big Top or Spiegel Tent in the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College. If you're skint, access to the festival site is free if you like watching jugglers, clowns, mirrorballs and bubbles (also bars and a food quarter) and local club Up The Creek runs comedy speed dating on the Wednesday and a comedy variety night on Thursday for just £5 each.

Greenwich Comedy Festival runs Monday 2 - Sunday 12 September. Browse the listings at www.greenwichcomedyfestival.co.uk. Buy tickets (£15-25). Peruse coverage of last year's Greenwich Comedy Festival, if you wish.
