Open House Map Misplaces North London Studio

We've just noticed a curious addition to the Open House map. If you scroll to see what's available in Hackney, you'll find that the borough's borders have been stretched to accommodate a new, somewhat remote location: specifically, a spot in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Africa, and around 1,000 miles from Sao Tome & Principe.

And what will you find there? According to the map, this is the location of Formation Architects Studios. Whether they're aware that their HQ has been relocated in the middle of the ocean, miles from any land, is another matter.

It's not the first time Open House has engaged in cartographical confusion. Last year they placed the Government's Art collection in pretty much the same remote location. What on earth is down there that's so important?

If you fancy keeping Open House closer to home, i.e. within the M25, then our guide to this year's event will be published tomorrow.
