Get Your Woolly Hat On For St Mungos

Ed Byrne demonstrates the wearing of a woolly hat.
If you felt the nip in the air through your hair this morning it's definitely woolly hat time. Which is fortuitous as London based homelessness charity St Mungo's has declared Friday, 22 October Woolly Hat Day. For a mere £2 donation turn your beloved beanie into a symbol of your support for homeless men and women and enjoy a warm head, heart and cockles.

It's no joke being homeless in winter but starting from the premise that woolly hats are faintly comical, nine of our capital's finest comedy clubs are supporting St Mungo's by dedicating Friday night's shows to the cause and collecting cash. So, if you were up for a laugh on Friday anyway, stick a woolly hat on and stick some readies in the St Mungo's bucket to help change homeless people's lives for good.

See here for participating comedy venues.
