- Those Cockroach tours are running at the Science Museum. While you're there, you can visit the Watercolour Fair.
- Visit the Snowdrop days at Chelsea Physic Garden
- Kew's month long Tropical Extravaganza begins.
- Two days of vintage, crafts and romance envelop Bethnal Green Working Men's Club with Valentine's Love-a-Fayre. 12-6pm, £1 entry.
- Following the success of Ale, Rattle and Roll, Canonbury's Snooty Fox in N5 is back with another themed beer festival: Hit The North presents real ale from the north of England to a northern soul soundtrack.
Friday:
- There's music from the Kermani Trio in room 18 of the National Gallery between 6-7pm. Entry free and the Gallery is open till 9pm.
- Barbequtie's at Highgate's Boogaloo with live music till 2am, £3 entry.
- Spoonfed recommend Dubscover at the Rhythm Factory, Whitechapel E1 for a "banger of a night". From 10pm-5am and it's free to get in.
Saturday:
- A Family Fun Day at Royal Institution explores the "stuff" that makes up our world. 11am-4pm, £10 adults, £5 juniors, under 3s free.
- Spend an Evening with the Masters of Persian Music at Southbank's Queen Elizabeth Hall. Tickets from £15.
- Stephen Merchant tries out his stand up ahead of his forthcoming sold out gigs, topping a bill at the Union Chapel, Islington. Live at the Chapel also stars Andy Zaltzman, Doc Brown and Dave Hill (not our Dave Hill), compered by Jared Christmas. 8pm, tickets £16 advance.
- The brilliant Run Riot goes live with No Shame, a night of wild performance, new primitivism and splatter(?!) At 42-44 Bermondsey Street, SE1 from 7.30pm, tickets £10.
Sunday:
- 100 classic Rolls Royces roll from Belgravia to Syon House, Isleworth starting around 9am.
- Then it's all about Chinese New Year celebrations, in Chinatown.
- Round off your day watching the Superbowl.
