Join Us On A Pub Crawl Along The East London Line

The opening of the Dalston Junction - Highbury & Islington spur of the East London line means that, after a ten month wait, we're finally able to complete our pub crawl along the railway.

In May last year, we shlepped from Sydenham to New Cross and many points in between. Part 2 will see us tackle stations north: starting at a waterside watering hole in Surrey Quays, crossing the river through Brunel's Thames tunnel, downing pints in a notorious Krays boozer, supping foreign beverages in the barrios of Shoreditch and Spitalfields, and enjoying a relaxed drink in some of north London's friendlier local pubs.

The pub crawl will take place Saturday, 5th March, 2011, beginning at 1pm. Below is the full list of pubs, plus expected arrival times. For further details on each venue, take a look at the map above. If you're able to join us for a drink or two, you'd be most welcome. You'll recognise us by the ugly mugs from our Contributers' page.

1pm: Surrey Quays - The Moby Dick
2pm: Rotherhithe - The Mayflower
3pm: Wapping - The Captain Kidd
4pm: Whitechapel - Blind Beggar
5pm: Shoreditch High Street - Commercial Tavern
6pm: Hoxton - Old Shoreditch Station
7pm: Haggerston - The Haggerston
8pm: Dalston Junction - The Junction Room
9pm: Canonbury - The Snooty Fox
10pm: Highbury & Islington - The Compton Arms
