Things To Do In London At The Weekend: 3-5 June

All weekend

  • The London Green Fair and Bike Fest is free and in Regents Park on Saturday and Sunday with groovy environmental stuff, spoken word tent, ethical fashion, folksy bits and lots of music.
  • Visit the Incredible Edible Gingerbread House at the Brunswick Centre. £2 suggested donation.
  • Stoke Newington Literary Festival brings Hay to N16, catering for both kids and adults.
  • The Herb Festival Weekend at the Garden Museum has fresh herb plants and seeds for sale, plus expert advice, talks, children's activities, workshops and a herb garden design surgery. Admission included in museum admission, £7 adults, free for kids. They have a brill cafe there and a beautiful garden to sit in too.
  • Free Range - the graduate art & design show - is back at Truman Brewery, Brick Lane E1 until July
  • The Wandle Valley Festival has lots of free wildlife, exploration and environmental things to do across Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton and Croydon.
  • Watch Polo in the Park at the Hurlingham Club, Parsons Green. Tickets from £10 all the way up to silly money - arrive after 5pm on Sat or Sun and it's just a fiver. We learnt to play polo last year.
  • Rooftop Film Club has begun at Queen of Hoxton but this weekend's films are all sold out. Check out the programme for booking ahead: The Lost Boys, Ferris Bueller, Wayne's World and much more to come.

Friday:

Saturday:

  • Bushstock - the Shepherds Bush music festival - goes off at various venues from 2pm. Tickets £27.50.
  • There's a free party at Islington Metal Works courtesy of Diesel and various friends - get yourself to their Carnaby or Covent Garden store to pick up a 'passport' for Diesel Island Disco from 8pm (psst free drinks too so get there early)
  • London's first night market opens at midnight till 3am at Red Gallery, Old Street.

Sunday:

  • Breakfast Club at Prince Charles Cinema proffers bacon rolls, tea and Beverley Hills Cop from 12.30, tickets £6.50/£4 members.
  • A Taste of Spain brings all thing Espanol to Regents Street from midday till 6pm.
  • It's free to get into 'My Old China Fun Day' at Roots and Shoots in Lambeth and they'll shout you a cup of tea and piece of cake too.
  • Take a behind the scenes, guided evening tour of Kew Palace. 5-7.30pm, wine included plus bits the public don't normally see. Tickets £30.
