London Stand Up And Sketch Comedy: 21-27 August

Our pick of where to find funny this week

Sunday: Hal Cruttenden finishes his Camden Fringe run at the Camden Head tonight - he completely sold out last year so maybe pick up your ticket in advance (9.30pm, £7.50 / £5).

Monday: Ninia Benjamin headlines the Good Ship in Kilburn (8pm, £4 / £5), plus Inel Tomlinson, Tommy Ettling and Vahid Jahangard on the bill.

Tuesday: Satire done with shadow puppets? This needs to be seen. Catch The Great Puppet Horn at the Etcetera Theatre tonight at 7.30pm (£7.50).

Wednesday: Janey Godley, comedian, columnist and Scotswoman of the Year finalist, is at the Soho Theatre for a four night run (8pm, £10 / £12.50 / £15). Check out her podcasts for a pre-show taster.

Thursday: The Trap have been doing sketches for a decade and are a big favourite at Edinburgh. But Edinburgh's a really long way away, so they're doing a few nights at the Camden Fringe (Etcetera Theatre, 7.30pm, £8.50 / £6.50).

Friday: Bright Club is back at the Bloomsbury Theatre Studio and they're talking about museums. Bec Hill, Subhadra Das, Gemma Angel and Sara Huws cover topics like recreating medieval life and dead people's tattoos (7.30pm, £5).

Saturday: Hugely long-running (like, 30 years) satirical show NewsRevue is at the Canal Cafe Theatre this week. And it's not like they'll be short of material - phone hacking? Riots? Economic collapse? (9.30pm, £10 / £8.50).
