Our pick of where to find funny over the next seven days
Sunday: It's an impressive line up at Leicester Square's 99 Club tonight: Shappi Khorsandi, Matt Green and Josh Widdicombe all in the same room (8pm, £10 online, more on the door).
Monday: For a Monday, you're spoiled for choice. There's a benefit gig for International Alert at the Comedy Store with Stewart Lee, Stewart Francis, Pete Johansson, Danny Bhoy and Alistair Barrie MCing (8pm, £16), or there's three fantastic shows at the Soho Theatre. Knife-sharp Aussie Adam Hills starts a two week run of improvised stand-up (8pm or 10pm, £10 / £12.50 / £15), while Holly Walsh (7.15pm, £10 / £8.50) and Luke Wright (8.45pm, £10 / £8.50) do one-offs.
Tuesday: The Three Englishmen sketch team bring their 5 star Edinburgh show back to the Canal Cafe Theatre (9.30pm, £6 / £5). They're generally joined by special guests (previously: recent Edinburgh winner Adam Riches, Colin Hoult, Luke Roberts).
Wednesday: It's kind of appropriate that metaller Andrew O'Neill should be playing the Garage (7pm, £7). We like his offbeat, intelligent banter very much.
Thursday: Bridget Christie, Andi Osho, Jeff Innocent and Erich McElroy are at Crack Comedy's Islington club tonight (8.30pm, £7 / £4).
Friday: The Arcola Theatre's starting a new comedy night - in a tent. Tonight's line-up features the unbelievably excellent Peter Serafinowicz plus Brian Gittins, Matthew Osborn, Adam Hess, Adam Belbin with Elis James MCing (8pm, £12).
Saturday: Scott Capurro headlines 7 on Red in Covent Garden, with Diane Spencer, Christophe Davidson and Rob Beckett (8.30pm, £12 / £15 or £25 if you want to be civilised and have dinner as well).
