Londonist Quiz: How Much Do You Know About London's Geography?

We're delighted to announce a new Londonist pub quiz, in partnership with the London Mapping Festival. This free quiz takes place on 1 December and will be themed entirely around London geography and mapping.

Now, we've got a bit of a reputation for holding our pub quizzes in places that clearly aren't pubs. We've previously quizzed in a bookshop (Foyles), a creepy museum (the Hunterian) and a scientific venue (the Royal Institution). This time round, we'll be dishing out the questions in no lesser venue than the Emirates Stadium. (Lest that raise a few eyebrows, we'll be in one of the bars attached to the stadium, rather than trying to fill the whole ground!)

The quiz forms the evening entertainment for the London Mapping Festival's big Mapping Showcase. This is free to attend, and will be of interest to anyone who uses mapping professionally or is interested in meeting those working in the sector. The quiz, however, is open to anyone, and there's no need to attend the showcase beforehand.

Questions will cover anything to do with mapping and geography in the capital. So there might be a round on the Tube map, for example, or questions about the hidden rivers and hills beneath our streets. Anything, no matter how tangential, that might fit into a quiz about London's landscape.

Places are limited, so sign up (either as an individual or in a team) as soon as possible if you'd like to come. The registration form is being handled by the London Mapping Festival and can be found here.

Londonist and London Mapping Festival Quiz, Emirates Stadium, 1 December 7-9pm. Entrance free, but booking essential.
