- Watch Bridesmaids, Back to the Future, Grease and Gnomeo and Juliet at the Nomad Cinema at Whiteleys (tickets £8/4).
- Fish keepers and reptile enthusiasts rejoice, for it is Aquatics Live at Olympia (tickets £10).
- Caffeine-heads will delight in the Tea and Coffee Festival in Southbank Centre Square.
- Try a recital at Wimbledon International Music Festival.
- Second Floor Studios in Woolwich has open studios, Saturday and Sunday 11am-6pm (free entry).
- It's the final weekend of the London Jazz Festival.
- Try a 'bowl of chalk' - that's a walk - and pay what you can as a new walking outfit gets going (£?!).
- Visit the art exhibition by UEL art students about the value of £9,000 in response to the new tuition fees, at the Rag Factory E1 (free).
- There's cabaret for GFest on Friday and Saturday at the Cockpit Theatre, Kilburn.

- Four live lit works-in-progress created in response to the London riots get an airing at Rich Mix at Riot Acts, thanks to Penned in the Margins from 7.30pm (£5).
- Support New Cross People's Library by going to their fundraising auction - free glass of wine with your first raffle ticket purchase and ace things to bid for! 7 for 7.30pm (free entry).
- Witness break dancing to a live brass band with Brassroots and Breakin' Brass at Rich Mix from midday till late (£12 all day, £5 after 10pm).
- Tooting Market is the unusual location for Public Service Broadcasting's first night, featuring live music and DJs, free first drink if you're wearing an item of corduroy clothing, 8pm-1am (free entry).
Sunday:
- The last Vintage Fashion Fair of the year is at Cecil Sharp House from 11am-5pm (entry £3, some free tix available via the website).
- Shake it up and prepare for midwinter with a Pagan Belly Dance Workshop in East Dulwich (£6-9).
- Watch the Bolshoi Ballet live from Moscow with the Sleeping Beauty beamed to the big screen of the the Electric Cinema, W11 from 3pm (tickets from £12.50).
- Get handy with a ping pong paddle for a pongathon world record attempt at Rich Mix from midday for as long as it takes! (free entry)
- Amnesty put on a double bill film screening of Divine Intervention and Waltz With Bashir at Roxy Bar and Screen from 6.15pm (£5 for one, £7 for both).
