- Richmond Literature Festival begins with a birthday party for the Fringe bit on the river, Friday night.
Friday:
- Bunk off early and catch Maia in the QEH Front Room at 5.30pm (free, funky, folky)
- It's the end of the world Late at Tate Britain with a night of Apocalypse themed activity (free).
Saturday:
- 300 iconic cars roll up Regent Street from 11am (free)
- Celebrate the Day of the Dead at Wellcome Collection (free)
- Find out about rocks, fossils, gems and minerals with free talks and activities at UCL Festival of Geology.
- A new sustainable Visitor Centre opens at Morden Hall Park today with free craft activities and entertainment (free admission).
- The London Rockin' Rollers knock all hell out of each other with a bout at their new venue, Newham Leisure Centre from 4.30pm with a roller-disco after-party.
- If you like Bonfire Night but want to stay indoors, try Galerie8 on Richmond Road, E8 where a 'Bonfire Lounge' will (um) "appropriate the cult of Bonfire Night into a subversive and alternative evening of music, visual art, poetry and performance" (free).
Sunday:
- Join a guided walk in the River Lee Country Park at 10.30am (free).
- Rifle through preloved stuff at the Wills-Moody Jumble Sale at the Lexington from midday (free entry).
- The UK Jewish Film Festival is underway with a packed schedule of screenings today at the Tricycle, Odeon Swiss Cottage and Hampstead Everyman.
- The London Klezmer Quartet support the Amsterdam Klezmer Band at Rich Mix.
- Mark the Polish Presidency of the European Union with the I,Culture Orchestra at Royal Festival Hall.
