London Stand Up And Sketch Comedy: 2-8 September

Where to find funny this week

Sunday: Junior Simpson hosts at the Dover Street Comedy Club, with Imran Yusuf and Alistair Barry the main acts (8.30pm, £10 / £15).

Monday: Abnormally Funny People put on a Paralympic special at the Soho Theatre (7pm, £12.50 / £10). See Liz Carr, Mat Fraser, Tanyalee Davis, Steve Best, Don Biswas, Lost Voice Guy and Stella Young.

Tuesday: We bloody love Austentatious, the show that improvises a Jane Austen novel before your very eyes. Their first post-Edinburgh show is at The Wheatsheaf pub on Rathbone Place – get there early if you want a seat rather than perching on a table (8pm, £5).

Wednesday: Micky Flanagan is working up a new show – see how it's getting on at the Soho Theatre for the rest of the week (7.30pm, £12.50).

Thursday: Celia Pacquola, Rosie Wilby, Annette Fagon and Maureen Younger rock the Retro Bar for Laughing Cows (8pm, £6 / £8).

Friday: Laurence Clark has cerebral palsy, but doesn't want your charity (literally, watch the video below). See his show at the Bloomsbury Theatre (7.30pm, £14).

Saturday: Headliners in Chiswick celebrate their tenth birthday-plus-one-day with Milton Jones (pictured), Paul Tonkinson, John Fothergill and Addy Van Der Borgh MCing (9pm, £14 / £10).
