London Stand Up And Sketch Comedy: 17-23 February

Where to find funny this week

Sunday 17 February: We can't recommend Doc Brown (pictured) highly enough: properly clever comedy and the guy can rap. See him at Sunday Special in Greenwich with Liam Williams from Sheeps, John Robins, Amy Hoggart and Mark Cooper Jones (7.30pm, £6 / £4).

Monday 18 February: Phill Jupitus is the only guest / victim of Deborah Frances-White's Voices in Your Head at the Soho Theatre. It's just Phill and a disembodied voice barking instructions and questions at him. Unmissable (7.30pm, £12.50).

Tuesday 19 February: Last week's podcast guest Chris Coltrane hosts his friendly monthly politics night at Camden's Black Heart, with guests Josie Long, Adam Larter and Mark Stephenson (8.30pm, £3).

Wednesday 20 February: The Awkward Silence host another of their incredibly long and incredibly good sketch nights at the Wilmington Arms, with guests Pajama Men, Sheeps, Jacob Edwards and Ben Target (8pm, £7).

Thursday 21 February: Increasingly legendary Storytellers' Club is at Kings Place, with guests Phil Nichol, Phil Kay, Jamie Kilstein, James Dowdeswell and host Sarah Bennetto telling, er, stories (8pm, £12.50 / £9.50).

Friday 22 February: Always quite difficult to know what will happen whenever Ben Target gets on stage, which makes C$R$E$A$M at Leicester Square Theatre an intriguing prospect. It's co-hosted by laid-back Mark Stephenson with guests John Kearns, Stuart Laws and Gareth Morinan (9pm, £5).

Saturday 23 February: Two of our comedy crushes are at Amused Moose tonight: Paul Sinha and Nat Luurtsema, who are so good and clever it makes us weep a tiny bit. Also on the bill are Alistair Barrie, Darren Walsh and Mark Dolan hosting (8pm, £12).
