PRIDE LONDON: It's back, bigger and better, mixing campaigning, an arts programme, the parade and some prolific partying across the entire weekend - check out our guide to London Pride 2013.

SYDENHAM: Angels have landed for Sydenham Arts Festival, and this weekend there are lots of family-friendly activities, plus a Swingin' Sydenham jazz concert on Saturday and Arts in the Park on Sunday.

CRYSTAL PALACE: Seek out good vibes, family fun and free live entertainment at Crystal Palace Overground Festival in Westow Park and around the Triangle.

MUSIC & TREES: City of London Festival is underway with the Worlds in Collision conference and concert at Mansion House, plus a free tree trail and a musical tour of the city.

ARCHITECTURE: Visit Dalston House, on the last days of London Festival of Architecture. Free, just turn up but check Twitter for queue information.

DRINKING BEER: Find beery summer festivals at The Hope in Carshalton, The Bull's Head in Croydon and Tap East in Westfield Stratford City

MARKETS: There are loads of good ones in London. Harringay Market celebrates its first birthday and there's a summer festival bash at Tooting Tram & Social. Check out this list from I Love Markets.

HERITAGE RAIL: Ride heritage trains and coaches on the Epping Ongar Railway (OK, strictly speaking that's Essex, but it's vintage trains and Tube150 related). Book your tickets for all day heritage travel, adults £20, kids £10 (discount for online booking).

TENNIS: Wimbledon is on, and there are still opportunities to get tickets if you're organised and willing to queue. Or, you can watch it on big screens at Boxpark Shoreditch, Cardinal Place Victoria, Bankside and New Street Square Holborn.

STREET FOOD IN A FIELD: Feast in the Fields brings street food stalls to the Brewhouse, London Fields.

STREET FOOD ON A BOAT: Riverboat Food Festival puts street food aboard floating pub boat Tamesis Dock for a "weekend of hard-core FOOD PORN" apparently. Tickets £25 a night, grab them quick.

Saturday 29 June

PRIDE PARADE & PARTY: The Parade leaves Baker Street and 1pm, arriving in Whitehall around 4pm. Live entertainment runs all afternoon in Trafalgar Square. Free, just turn up, 1-8pm

SCIENCE FAIR: In celebration of the Medical Research Council's centenary year there's a family friendly science fair being held on UCL's main campus, featuring lab tours, talks, a treasure hunt and hands on activities. Free, just turn up, 11am-5pm

KERB SATURDAYS: The first monthly KERB market is in Granary Square with street food, "local enfoodistas" and cocktails, from 11am-3pm

JAM TARTS: Daylight Music presents indie choir Jam Tarts plus support at the Union Chapel. Free (donation appreciated), just turn up, 12pm.

CARNIVAL: Greenford Carnival Ravenor Park, Greenford UB6. £2 entry, £5 family ticket, kids under 12 free. Just turn up, 12-7pm

FOODIES: Head for Auntie Maureen’s Gourmet Food Fair at The Bell Pub, Forest Road E17, as part of Waltham Forest's Appetite Festival. Just turn up, do try the bread, 12-5pm

STREET FEAST: You need to help eat and drink the place dry - the Merchant Yard closing party runs from 12-10pm

DANCING CITY: The annual festival takeover of Canary Wharf puts all sorts of dance all over this part of Docklands. Ballet, contemporary, whirling dervish and Lindy Hop are among the styles you'll see being performed on the piazzas, steps, parks and waterfronts. Free, just turn up, 1-5pm

ROLLER DERBY: Still tickets left for the London Rollergirls Pride bouts against each other. It kicks off at Tottenham Green Leisure Centre with four teams going all out for glory. Tickets £12+bkg, doors open 4pm

NOT GLASTONBURY: Blackshaw Theatre Company hosts a free summer festival at The Selkirk in Tooting today with live music, comedy, face painting and, possibly most importantly, CAKE. Bring a poncho, wear wellies. Free, just turn up, 4pm-midnight

REHEARSAL: Watch an open rehearsal of Have a Nice Day at Greenwich Dance Borough Hall, Free, just turn up, 5-8pm

MORE DANCE: Sample world-class dance in snippets at Sadler's Wells (also Friday). Tickets from £8 standing, show starts 7.30pm

ENCHANTMENT: London Dreamtime enchant Woolwich with stories and songs at sunset. Places limited, email [email protected] for booking, £2 each, 7.45pm

AERIAL SPECTACLE: To close Greenwich & Docklands International Festival, Tangled Feet perform One Million above Woolwich (also Friday night). Free, just turn up, 10pm

Sunday 30 June

ARMED FORCES DAY: Southwark Council's parade leaves from Library Street at 11.30am and arrives at the Imperial War Museum for midday with approx. 1,000 service personnel taking part. Followed by military displays and family entertainment in Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park from 12-4pm

DRAGON BOATS: Eyes on the Thames for the annual Dragon Boat Festival at London Regatta Centre by Royal Albert Dock. As well as a colourful display on the river, there's a food festival for those on dry land. Free, just turn up, racing from 11.30am-6pm

ROOFTOP DRINKING: Frank's Cafe and Campari Bar, on the rooftop of Peckham multistorey car park, re-opens today.

ASTROPHOTGRAPHY: Spend the day Envisioning the Universe with an expert panel at National Maritime Museum. This day of workshops and talks asks the question, "are space images art?". Tickets £25, prebook, runs 12-6pm

VILLAGE FETE: Amwell Street puts on a traditional style fete in Islington with stalls, music, crafts, tea, tug of war, bouncy castle, raffle, dog show, bric a brac and more from 12-5pm

TABLE TOPS & COCKTAILS: Little Nan's Bar in Deptford has a table top sale in the afternoon with cocktails from 12-6pm

BARNET MUSEUM: celebrates 75 years since it opened with a garden party in the museum grounds. Free, just turn up, 1-5pm

ISLINGTON CHORAL SOCIETY: Mark their 40th birthday with a celebratory concert at Cadogan Hall, including the premiere of a new local work, Highbury Fields by Brian Inglis. Tickets from £12, book online, starts 6.30pm

PRIDE CONCERT: London Gay Symphony Orchestra present a concert as part of the Pride Arts programme at St Sepulchre-without-Newgate, London EC1A 2DQ. Tickets £12/£10 on the door, £10/£8 online, starts 7pm
