See Hitchhiker's Guide Live - With Neil Gaiman

HHGTTGWe see a lot of events at Londonist and it's rare these days that we see one so special, it makes us do an actual scream and little dance. This is such a one.

Of course, your excitement levels will depend on how you feel about Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams's marvellously batty creation. Because this, friends, is the original radio series cast of Simon Jones as Aruthur, Geoffrey McGivern as Ford and Susan Sheridan as Trillian, plus Mitch Benn as Zaphod and, depending on which day you see it, Jon Culshaw or Neil Actual Bloody Gaiman as The Book.

It's OK, it's OK: don't panic. There are still tickets available, though you'll have to be swift to get the Gaiman tickets. It all follows on from the success of the 2012 shows, but as they were all in Bromley some of you may not have felt like travelling. (If this is the case, you will never see the wonders of the universe on less than 30 Altarian dollars a day.) This time, you only have to hitch to Hackney.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show Live is on at the Hackney Empire, 291 Mare Street, 14 September 8pm and 15 September 5pm. Tickets £25 / £21. For more information and to book see the Hackney Empire website.

Shows are also happening in Kingston on 20 October with Anita Dobson, and Bromley on 22 and 23 November with John Lloyd and Anthony Daniels.
