Our selection of London’s alternative, clever and offbeat comedy gigs this week.
Halloween
Invisible Dot has four nights of Halloween goodness: 28-31 October (7.45pm, £10) sees varying line-ups treating audiences to harrowing games, spooky prizes, exclusive spine-chilling performances and a live theremin player. Guests include Mark Watson, Claudia O'Doherty, Cariad Lloyd, Angelos Epithemiou and Colin Hoult.
Holly Walsh
See Holly Walsh's new material take shape at the Hen and Chickens on 28 October, plus a set from a special guest. £5, 7.30pm
David Baddiel
It's been an age since David Baddiel did stand-up: 15 years since his last full-length show, if we're being exact about this. So catch him at the Southbank Centre between 29 October-1 November, £20, 8pm
Get Happy
Lovely line-up at The Island Queen pub in Angel on 31 October for Get Happy, with Lewis Schaffer, Rachel Parris, Harriet Kemsley, Kishor Nayar, Phil Higgins, Toby Brown and MC David Hardcastle. £4, 8pm
Liam Williams
One-third of sketch troupe Sheeps, Liam Williams's debut solo show was nominated for Best Newcomer in Edinburgh earlier in the year. This is that show, at Invisible Dot. See it 2-9 November, £10 / £6, 7.30pm
Greenwich Comedy Festival
Catch a weekend of comedy in south east London 2-3 November with gigs from David O'Doherty, Sara Pascoe, Tony Law, Andrew Maxwell, Josh Widdicombe, Mark Watson and more.
