With bonfire night out of the way, it's officially Christmas...at least if you're a major shopping attraction. Hence, Covent Garden will tonight switch on its festive lights, having installed the capital's biggest Christmas tree. The now-famous giant baubles once again dangle from the market building roof, the mulled wine is brewing, and reindeers both topiary and actual can be found in the piazza.
To set the scene, the time-lapse video above shows the decorations as they're lifted into place. You can watch the big switch-on in the piazza tonight (6 November) at 6pm.
