Records And Beer At Old Spitalfields Market

This Saturday (30 November) sees the return of the Independent Labels Market to London for a special pre-Christmas bonanza of exclusive record releases and...lager?

The market's sixth outing has the usual array of independent labels, such as Bella Union, Warp, Domino and Ninja Tune, but this year teams up with representatives of the London Brewers' Market in a combined festive event. Spitalfields Market will host over 80 independent record labels alongside local brewers such as Camden Town Brewery, the Five Points Brewing Company and Signature Brew, among many others.

Exclusive and signed releases are promised from the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Tame Impala, Tricky, The XX, Metronomy, Bloc Party, Dinosaur Pile-Up and Actress. Meanwhile brewers will be selling everything from porters to pilsners in cask, bottle and keg, available to drink on the day or take home with you, in the unlikely event you're still able to walk after the afternoon's fun.

More details are available at the Old Spitalfields Market website. The event kicks off at 11am and it's free to enter, so get yourself down to Spitalfields for an afternoon of tunes and brews that, all being well, should have your head and your turntable spinning in equal measure.
