Our selection of London’s alternative, clever and offbeat comedy gigs this week.
Daniel Rigby
OK. Let's deal with the Daniel Rigby issue. Known to everyone as the 'annoying one' from the BT adverts, he's also won a BAFTA for playing young Eric Morecambe, more than holds his own against Stephen Fry in the Radio 4 series Warhorses of Letters and is also a stand-up. What we're saying is, the BT ads are an aberration. And we bet they pay well. Anyway, see him in a work in progress show at Soho Theatre on 25 November (£10, 9pm) and Invisible Dot on 5 December (£8, 9.30pm) with Mike Wozniak and Cariad Lloyd.
Good Ship
Nick Doody headlines the always-excellent-value comedy night at the Good Ship in Kilburn on 25 November, with appearances from resident ACMS-er Nadia Kamil, Paul F Taylor and Rhys James. £4 / £5, 8pm
Hoxton Hall
Help raise funds to restore Hoxton Hall with a night curated by Hat Trick Productions on 28 November. Cardinal Burns headline, plus Stu Hudson, Spencer Jones, Richard Todd, Matt Rees and more. Tickets from £25, 7pm.
Knock2Bag
See creative, quirky, offbeat stand-up, character and musical comedy with Knock2Bag at Rich Mix. Performers are Will Adamsdale, Mae Martin, Nathaniel Metcalfe, Phil Wang, Harriet Dyer, Oram & Meeten and Lloyd Griffith. 29 November, £8, 7.30pm.
Henning Wehn's Christmas
For three Sundays starting 1 December Henning Wehn turns Leicester Square Theatre into a German festive wonderland. Be prepared to sing carols you've never heard of. £12.50 / £10.50, 4pm / 7pm
