Our selection of London’s alternative, clever and offbeat comedy gigs this week.
Lost Treasures Of The Black Heart
Josie Long's club night, a paean to the obscure and undersung, returns to the Black Heart in Camden on 6 May. Expect Nat Metcalfe, costumes, stand up, sketches and all kinds of larking about. Probably about £5 (we can't find the actual price anywhere), 8pm
Simon Munnery
Munnery's experimental Fylm Makker style is taken up by guests Rob Newman, John Hegley and Gareth Morinan at Invisible Dot in King's Cross on 6 May. £10, 7pm
John Osborne And The Islanders
You might have seen John Osborne doing his show John Peel's Shed, using a box of records won from the legendary DJ on which to hang a story of his life (see the old promo below). He's recently spent a year walking Britain's beaches and a new show documents a lunchtime walk, and the lives of the people to be found there. In a double bill at the Pleasance on 7 May, you can also see The Islanders, an indie musical featuring Amy Mason, Eddie Argos (lead singer of Art Brut) and folk star Jim Moray. £10 / £8, 7.30pm
Political Animal
His Bugle podcast partner may have his own show in America, but Andy Zaltzman hosts satire night Political Animal at Udderbelly on the South Bank. Guests on 8 May are Ian Stone, Tiffany Stevenson and Tiernan Douieb. £15.50, 9pm
Luisa Omielan
You've got two more chances to catch Luisa Omielan's sellout, critically acclaimed show What Would Beyonce Do? at the big purple Udderbelly tent on 9 and 17 May. £15.50, 10.45pm / 7.45pm
