Grab your wellies and head for the farms this Sunday. Hundreds of farms across the country will be holding special open days and events to allow the public to meet the farmers who grow their food. These are the London farms taking part in Open Farm Sunday.
Forty Hall Farm, Enfield
Forty Hall's Big Sunday takes place at The Forty Hall Farm Estate. The public are encouraged to bring along a picnic to eat while enjoying live music and learning all about the farm.
Kentish Town City Farm
Kids can enjoy a pony ride, see goats being groomed or take part in animally art activities at Kentish Town City Farm.
Free entry, charge for some activities, from 1.30pm
Stepney City Farm
Open Farm Sunday coincides with the 5th birthday of Stepney City Farm, so naturally, there's a party. Bring along a dish to share as part of the Big Lunch (cake is provided). After lunch, there are games, activities and competitions for the whole family.
Boltons Park Farm
Boltons Park Farm in Potters Bar is part of the Royal Veterinary College. If you've got a budding vet in the family, take them along to meet current veterinary students and find out what they do. You can also learn about how milk is produced, and get an insight into beekeeping.
Woodlands Farm Trust, Welling
The Summer Show takes place at Woodlands Farm Trust this Sunday. Meet the animals and take part in games and activities, you can also watch demonstrations of traditional country crafts.
Entry £1 adults, 50p children (all proceeds go into caring for the animals), 11am-4.30pm
