Review: Mike Wozniak Is More Frantic Than Cleese Speeding In A Merc Mike Wozniak: One Man Dad Cat Band, The Invisible Dot 4

Like John Cleese in an F1 Mercedes, Mike Wozniak puts comedic pedal to metal to speed through an hour-long anecdote about lost cats, found cats, whisking cats between Exeter and Edinburgh, cats crapping in the boots of cars, dickhead cat owners, cats getting cat scans and Katie Hopkins.

One Man Dead Cat Band may be going hell for leather, but the admirably-moustachioed man in the driver's seat has his passenger's best interests at heart; Wozniak's frantic delivery is offset by a gentle lilt and a chivalrous manner. And though this isn't the most almighty gag-fest to come back down the motorway from Edinburgh, everyone's on board.

Wozniak makes plenty of pit stops along the way — mainly for iffy trivia: did you know that Stephen King was once hit by a truck, bought that truck, and then set it on fire to make himself feel better? (Yeah, we're not sure that happened either.)

And in case you're wondering: no, Wozniak doesn't just harp on about cats and cars. At one point he does a bit about making love to a sea bass, at which point the entire audience breaks down. Anyone here got an AA membership?

Mike Wozniak: One Man Dad Cat Band is on at The Invisible Dot until 14 November. Tickets £8-£10 (£7-£9 concessions), although we recommend you take advantage of the buy one get one free Fringe deal. Londonist saw this show on a complimentary ticket.
