Ever struggled finding enough hands to hold both your umbrella and a map (or, let's face it, the map on your phone) and whatever bags you're lugging around? It's a frustrating scenario that's easily fixed by this brilliant Fulton brollymap — a sturdy, quality umbrella, with an accurate streetmap on the underside. Genius.

Here's a lovely keepsake artwork: a London postcode, mapped, and set into a sweet little house design. You can go for a heart-shaped one too, if you're feeling particularly sentimental this Christmas.

This slightly leftfield map would make a great stocking filler. The Wonderground map was commissioned to amuse Underground travellers on the eve of the First World War, and created artist Leslie MacDonald (Max) Gill. Look closely, and you'll spot some now-shut Tube stations, the capital’s main sights, and various humorous comments.
Wonderground Map of London Town, £7.99

This hand-drawn map of Stoke Newington by Mike Hall is inspired by the antique-style English County maps by 19th-century artist and engraver Thomas Moule. There are also options to buy similar artwork featuring Camden, Hackney and Islington.
