The London Whisky Weekender Is This Weekend
Make it a large one.

Tasting glasses at the ready: a festival dedicated to whisky is happening this weekend at east London's Oval Space.

Whisky Weekender brings whiskies from around the world together — from legendary distillers that have made a name for themselves, to emerging brands hoping to make their mark on the scene.

A ticket buys you a taster of all the whiskies on show (excluding the 'under the counter' drams), plus there will be guest appearances from distillers, a programme of special tastings, whisky cocktails, organic food and music.

Tasting glasses at the ready.

This year, there's a particular emphasis on old and rare world whiskies, with four sessions dedicated to this to choose from over the weekend.

In the main Oval Space area legends of the whisky world such as Chivas Brothers, Talisker and Johnnie Walker will be on hand with brand ambassadors and distillers keen to share their knowledge and expertise.

Alongside the big names there will be some small batch distillers like FEW Spirits, New York Distilling Company and That Boutique-y Whisky Company.

A 'blendathon' will provide visitors with the opportunity to create their very own blended whisky while taking part in an attempt to break the world record for the most whiskies blended in one day.

Visit the Whisky Weekender website to see the full list of exhibitors and buy tickets. The event takes place at Oval Space, 29-32 The Oval, E2 9DT.
