Help Create The World's Largest Edible Park
CHUG Floating Allotment in London in 2012.

People across the country are encouraged to take part in The Big Dig this weekend — and that very much includes London.

The annual one day event gets people involved in community garden projects in their local area.

Londoners can take part in seed sowing and potato planting at the Regent's Park Allotment Garden, be involved in creating the world's largest edible park in Haggerston at Mabley Green in Hoxton, or tour the Nomadic Community Gardens in Shoreditch.

The full list of more than 40 London events can be found here.

The Big Dig takes place on 16 April. See individual events for details.
