DOCTOR WHO: Fill yourself with Who at The Cartoon Museum at this exhibition of over 30 pieces of original Doctor Who artwork. It's the first public exhibition of these covers, and coincides with the reissue of the iconic books. CANALWAY CAVALCADE: Ride London's canals this weekend at the IWA Canalway Cavalcade with decorated boats, competitions, parades and Punch and Judy. There are also food stalls, real ale bars and a teddy bear's picnic. We especially like the sound of the procession of illuminated boats. Free, just turn up, 10am
BAFTA: Whether you want to get into TV, film or games — or you're just interested to hear from pros in these industries — head to BAFTA for Guru Live this weekend. This three-day event features masterclasses, panels and keynotes from some of the best in these industries, including previous BAFTA winners. £6 (per session), prebook, 10am-6pm
FOOD MARKET: For a bank holiday Barcelona style, head to Old Spitalfields Market where there's a long weekend of tasty treats at La Boqueria Market. Scoff tapas, street food and loads of other fresh produce. Free, just turn up, 12pm, until 2 May

WALK EVERY STREET: For the ultimate Soho walking tour, take this almost-10 mile trip through the famous streets of one of London's best-loved areas. BRIXTON BEER: Brixton Windmill is 200 years old, so why not have a beer and bread festival to celebrate? Windmill Gardens will be crammed with Brixton breweries, pint purveyors and local loaf makers.
