The BBC radio show Hancock's Half Hour is crammed with some of comedy's best-known voices: the adenoidal flamboyance of Kenneth Williams; the spivvy tones of Sid James and the lugubrious murmurings of The Lad Himself.
Now, one voiceover artist is performing entire episodes of Hancock's Half Hour as a one-man show — he even does the opening trombone theme.
As the video above testifies, James Hurn is a dead vocal ringer for Hancock et al — and, with the help of the show's original writers, Ray Galton and Alan Simpson, he's performing two classic episodes live in London next month: A Sunday Afternoon at Home, and The 13th of the Series, in which Hancock gets all triskaidekaphobic.
Hurn performs at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre, 42-44 Gaisford Strett, Kentish Town NW5 2ED on 20-23 June at 8pm and 24-25 June at 9.15pm. Tickets £12.10.
