A guitar signed by Blur, overalls worn by racing driver Lucas di Grassi and Russell Brand's gold jacket are among celebrity items on sale to the public at the Star Boot Sale this weekend.

The event, organised by Blur's Dave Rowntree in aid of the International Rescue Committee, sees stars donate items for sale to raise money for Syrian refugees in Jordan.

Chris Martin, David Walliams, Kylie Minogue, Stephen Fry and Pete Doherty are among other celebrities who have given items to be sold.

Zebra One Gallery is donating previously unseen photographs featuring Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix and Debbie Harry, by renowned photographers Phil Knott and Russell Marshall .

Items at the sale will be priced from £1, with books and records from £5, and celebrities including Badly Drawn Boy, KT Tunstall, Erin O’Connor, Mel C and Hot Chip will be there on the day, encouraging the public to get haggling.

For those who can't make it along, an online auction is already live, where you can bid on items such as a guitar signed by Noel Gallagher, Mel C's clothes from the Spice World film and Jools Holland's suit. Bidding closes at 8pm on 29 May.

The Star Boot Sale takes place at The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane 22 May, 11am-4pm. Tickets are £13.50, and need to be booked in advance.
