Prince, Bob Marley And The Beatles Celebrated At Backyard Cinema

In a year that's already lost us David Bowie, Prince and George Martin (The Beatles' producer, not the Game of Thrones author), it's fitting that a season of music films is coming to Camden Market.

Backyard Cinema returns to the market for a fortnight of outdoor film screenings, all with a music theme. Bob Marley's biography Marley, and Kurt Cobain: Life of Heck kick off the week.

Later, The Beatles play augmented versions of themselves in A Hard Day's Night, and Prince assumes the role of The Kid in Purple Rain. Ray Charles, Beastie Boys and The Blues Bros also make an appearance.

Films for the second week are yet to be announced, but we're expecting stuff that's just as easy on the eardrums.

Dancing is very much encouraged, but when it all gets too much, kick back in your deckchair or beanbag and watch the stars come out. Nosh is available to buy courtesy of Honest Burgers, and for drinks, Meantime Brewery is on hand.

Backyard Cinema is at Camden Market 8-21 August. Tickets start from £16.50 and need to be booked in advance.
