It seems there’s huge demand for gin this summer (we already have a massive bar and a multi-million-pound distillery) and now two more festivals are happening. Shall we just rename this the Summer of Gin and be done with it?
Nicholson’s Gin Fest
Nicholson’s pubs across London are participating in a celebration of gin from now until 20 August.
To get involved you’ll need to download a Ginfest Passport, which entitles you to discounted drinks and access to masterclasses, gin parties (isn’t every party a gin party?), and entries to giveaways.
The festival will focus on high-end gin, with 31 varieties available to try, including Peckham’s Little Bird.
More details of ginny events, locations and instructions on how to download passports can be found on the website.
Gin Festival
We can’t argue with the fact that the title of this festival is entirely appropriate. From 26-28 August, Tobacco Docks will host a festival showcasing over 100 different gins.
What began in 2012 has blossomed into a large event, and alongside tastings there will be live music and entertainment, talks from industry experts and food to soak up all that gin.
Tickets are £12.50 + booking fee and can be purchased via the website.
