The Whisky Show Is Back For 2016, And It’s Massive

The Whisky Show returns to London from 1-2 October 2016 at Old Billingsgate and it's massive — with over 600 whiskies available to taste.

There will be the opportunity to meet legendary figures from the world of whisky and sample some rare and unique drams.

Try some whisky and cheese matching.

A feature of the festival is Dream Drams — a collection of more than 45 ultra-premium rare whiskies. Each ticket allows guests to try one complimentary Dream Dram worth up to £1,000 per bottle.

In order to try the show's most valuable Dream Dram ever featured (60-year-old Glenfarclas), you'll need to collect seven tokens (which will set you back another £60). Not exactly cheap, although this whisky's usually priced at £14,750 per bottle.

You'll probably get to use a snazzy glass like this one.

The theme of the show this year is 'Masterpieces' and there will be famous faces from the world of whisky hosting masterclasses, Q&A sessions and more.

There will also be food and drink pairing workshops, cocktails and a whisky-infused meal in the brasserie — the latter included in the price of your ticket.

The Whisky Show will take place on 1 -2 October at Old Billingsgate, EC3R 6DX. Tickets can be purchased via the website, variously priced.
