If you want some exciting new inspiration for a New Year's Eve to remember, we have found something completely different.

The 2016 London New Year's Eve Ball at Battersea Evolution will celebrate all things Carnivale this year, bringing bright colours, festival sounds and incredible costumes to London on December 31.

With exotic food, crazy cocktails and stunning entertainment, this is the ultimate one-stop-shop for an epic night; set to be one of the most electric atmospheres in the capital this New Year's Eve.

The ball will be full of carnival vibes.

Inspired by Mardi Gras and Limbo, the ball will be an explosion of fun to accompany the traditional New Year countdown.

The party starts at 7.30pm, when street-food canapés and sparkling wine will warm up the evening in style. A delicious sit-down gourmet three-course meal is served at 9pm, before it's time to party from 10.30pm — think funfair, live band and DJs. With entertainment from acrobats and dancers, and activities such as dodgems and casinos, there will be things to see and do left, right and centre.

All the fun of the fair with dodgems.

At the hour of countdown, guests will be treated to a live streaming of London's famous firework display from the River Thames, a unique opportunity to witness the spectacle without bracing the cold or battling the New Year's crowds.

Costumes are not a must, but by all means dress as if you were part of the carnival parade. Black tie is welcomed, whereas trainers are very much a no no: in other words, dress to kill.

The Ball will take place at Battersea Evolution, an events venue based smack bang in the middle of Battersea Park. This is a perfect setting to dance the night away until 3am, when the party, alas, will come to an end.

If a group outing is on the cards, there is the opportunity to book whole tables (seating 8-12 people); if you book individually, be prepared to make new friends.

Guests have their table for the entire night, so there will be a base for those who need a break from dancing.

Guests will have their tables for the whole night.

Think of the 2016 London New Year's Eve Ball as a value-for-money celebration: tickets include canapés and fizz on arrival, the three-course meal, all of the entertainment, and unlimited house beer and wine all night. There's also free car parking and cloakroom.

The New Year's Eve Ball will feature entertainment from acrobats and dancers.

Of course, an event of epic proportions like this is going to be in high demand. New Year's Eve may be a couple of months away but now is the time to book your tickets, secure your place, and start planning your outfit. You even have the option to put down a deposit and pay the rest later, to hold your place at this ultimate party.

We'll be donning our feathers and be seeing you on the dodgems.
