What do you think makes London the greatest city in the world? Is it the architecture? The history? The people? From Ally Pally to Buckingham Palace, London is a pretty darn photogenic subject. If you find yourself constantly getting your smartphone out to take a picture while traversing this great city of ours, then this competition is for you.

The arrival of the smartphone has transformed photography, turning us all into snappers. Now, new smartphone magazine FLTR is offering Londonist readers the chance to have their work published in the magazine, alongside some of the best smartphone photographers in the world.

FLTR is designed to engage with an audience of passionate photographers, eager to develop their snappy skills and learn about products that will help improve their images.

To enter the competition, just take a picture of something that, for you, captures what makes London the greatest city in the world. Submit your smartphone photos by tweeting them along with the hashtag #LoveFLTR. We will then select a shortlist of the best, before passing on to FLTR editor Olivier Laurent for the final decision on the winner.

As well as having their photograph published in the magazine, the winner will also receive a free one-year subscription to FLTR. Feeling inspired? You have until Friday 31 January to enter, so get out and capture London at its best.

To find out more about FLTR or to subscribe, click here. Follow them on Twitter @FLTRlive.

T&Cs: competition closes at 5pm on Friday 31 January and the winner will be notified via Twitter shortly thereafter. Entrants can only submit photographs they have taken themselves with a smartphone. Up to five different images can be submitted per person. Usual Londonist competition policy applies.

UPDATE: Congratulations to the winner of this competition, Ingrid, who took this beautiful shot in Richmond Park.
