A Tale Of Two Shitters

Feast your eyes.

Takes a few moments to sink in doesn't it. But this is the actual sight that greets you in one of the gents' toilet cubicles between Nando's and GBK, in Canary Wharf.

But how? Why? Who? Why? When? WHY?!

We've a couple of conspiracies. Perhaps the toilets are breeding. Perhaps it's so parent and child can go at the same time. Oh lord, the toilets are breeding aren't they.

Reddit — where the image initially caused a stir —  had its own ideas. Like this:

I've used these before they're designed so meetings don't need to stop while attendees attend to nature.

And this:

Its a game. Choose the right one, and you’ll be transported to level 2.

And this:

they're A/B testing the toilet bowls. they have sensors to track usage. they'll install the winning toilet bowl to all the toilets

And this:

One must be for chundering in !

Mind-blowing though it is, this is not the first time we've seen the phenomenon. In the build up to the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, the internet was abuzz with images of double dunnies.

Perhaps this is some twisted form of toilet tribute to the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Apparently there's one of these in the ladies at Canary Wharf too. And in Walkabout, Temple. Spotted any other double toilets around London? Tell us in the comments.
