Rainbow Coloured Pride Post Box Appears In Soho

It's almost enough to make you want to write letters again.

As part of London's 2018 Pride celebrations, this rainbow post box has been unveiled on Old Compton Street, Soho.

Royal Mail called on the help of Gay Star News readers, to decide which London post box should get the makeover. As one of the city's major hubs for LGBTQ haunts, it's little surprise that Soho got the nod.

The post box will only remain rainbow-hued for around a month, before reverting to its uniform Royal Mail red. Then again, those 'temporary' Pride green man signals at Trafalgar Square are still shining bright. As are many of London's 2012 Games gold post boxes. Could we, in fact, be looking at the birth of an LGBTQ landmark?
