Artist Gail Brodholt creates artworks all about travelling. But rather than somewhere exotic like the Caribbean or South East Asia, she finds beauty in the humble commute.
Whether it's train tracks in Battersea or a Northern line platform, Brodholt makes them shine.
Her works are all linocuts — carved out of linoleum, painted over and then impressed on paper.
They are stunning visions of London and bring a sense of Romanticism to public transport.
There's also a lot of fun to be had in trying to guess the stations in the pictures we've posted. Let us know your best guesses.
Gail Brodholt - Linocuts is on at Eames Fine Art, 58 Bermondsey Street, SE1 3UD until 11 June. Entrance is free.
