We're Left Feeling Wired After This Tequila-Laced Brunch Bottomless brunch, Del 74 4

While most bottomless brunches gradually grind you down into a useless lump of sedentary flesh, Del 74's has quite the opposite effect. The endless frozen margaritas slid in front of us one after the other; the piquant palette of salsas; the sirens of Kingsland High Street blaring through the open-front restaurant. After two hours of this, we're frankly wired.

The drinks, by the way, are very good: bloody marys, as well as margaritas, generously laced with tequila. The spicy-salt rim is marvelous, but on every single drink, does chafe after a while — and although 2018 is the year we've finally recognized plastic straws are PURE EVIL, it wouldn't go amiss to invest in some paper ones.

Melt in the mouth strips of steak with black beans and eggs; and liberal layers of cured salmon scattered with crisp capers and onion makes for well-executed, not-too-lumpen brunch dishes, especially given the price. The accompanying cornbread is extremely sweet, but we polish it off nonetheless. A little more sugar won't hurt, surely.
