Boozy Hot Chocolates And Festive Feasting At Bluebird

Chelsea’s Bluebird Café has gone all out this Christmas, transforming the restaurant and courtyard into a Nutcracker wonderland. As part of the wintery offerings, there's a limited edition festive afternoon tea — think turkey and brie baguette, roasted pumpkin mini brioche and the obligatory smoked salmon (crusts cut off) finger sandwich. The spiced roasted pumpkin brioche wins the savoury competition by miles, giving an alternative edge to the traditional festive fare.

Mini scones, still warm from the oven are some of the best we've had, and fruit-crammed holly-topped Christmas cake could rival any Grandma’s. Puff pastry mince pies lack quite the expected amount of filling, but are overshadowed by the Rococo hot chocolates. Using their award-winning products, glass jugs filled with rich, silky, liquid Rococo chocolate adorned with plenty of cream and marshmallows can be spiked with your choice of alcohol — if you can’t have a boozy hot chocolate and a slice of swiss roll at Christmas, when can you?
