5 Reasons To Head Down To Ally Pally's Free Foodie Festivals This Summer

This is a sponsored article on behalf of Alexandra Palace.

Looking for somewhere to eat, drink and party in the sun? Alexandra Palace's free foodie festival, StrEATlife, takes place every month this summer, and the next event is coming up soon. Mark the weekend of 23-24 June off your calendar — this is a summer celebration you won't want to miss.

Why, we hear you ask? Hear us out...

1. Treat yourself to some of London's most delicious street food

We hope you're hungry, because StrEATlife is ready to fill you up. Ally Pally's terrace will be filled with delicious street food traders, and there's something for all manner of tastes, from Mother Clucker's twice battered fried chicken (served from a converted US Army ambulance), to Arancina's homemade risotto balls. Yum.

2. Take in spectacular skyline views of the capital

Like your street food and booze with skyline views? You're in luck. Far from a dusty Shoreditch car park, this street food extravaganza is set in one of London's scenic green spaces, with panoramic views of the capital to boot. There's plenty of space to sit and chill out with your mates — no fighting for picnic benches here — and we can't think of a better place for it.

3. There are lots of refreshing beverages to sip in the sun

What's your tipple? The festival's bars boast more than 20 craft and cask brews, including the likes of Rouge USA and Five Point London. Cocktails more your style? Grab a jug of Pimm's, enjoy a delicious creation from The Dash Concept cocktail bar, or go deeper and sample one of 30 varieties of gin from The Gin Trailer. We hardly know where to start...

4. There'll be a live DJ set from FOALS' Edwin Congreave

What's a summer party without some belting tunes? StrEATlife is welcoming big names all summer, and on Saturday 23 June, Edwin from FOALS — one of the UK's biggest indie bands — hits the decks. Expect electronica, old classics, indie, dusty vinyl... alright, pretty much anything that'll get you up on your feet.

5. It's completely free

They say that nothing in life is free... so they clearly haven't heard of StrEATlife. Entry to the festival won't cost you a penny, and that includes all the fantastic live music. Sounds like a bargain to us, and it means more money to spend on food, right?

Ready to party? Catch StrEATlife at Alexandra Palace from 23-24 June 2018. Entry is completely free, but you are advised to bring cash. Can't make it this time? The festival returns monthly this summer, with additional dates on 28-29 July and 18 August. Check out the full line-up here.
