Vapiano Makes Splitting The Bill Oh So Simple

Picture the scene. You've had a lovely meal out with lots of friends — enjoyed some delicious food, the drinks are flowing along with the good times. Then the bill arrives, and it all goes to pieces. The tedious process of working out how to split the thing (mental arithmetic was never your strong point), exacerbated by the fact you're three glasses of wine deep. Frustration and time-wasting mounts.

Not at Vapiano.

The Italian eatery has an ingenious system in place. Everyone is handed a card at the start of the meal, and whatever they order is loaded onto that card. So if you just want to pay for your sumptuous Capricciosa pizza — freshly made, like every single item at the restaurant — and a glass of rioja, it's no problem.

Just hand your card in on the way out, and pay as you leave.

Or if you're the more luxurious type, who goes for all three courses, that's just as easy. Start with Carpaccio, followed by Filetto Di Manzo Con E Rucola pasta — pasta that is entirely handmade — and then finish off with some tiramisu. There's no guilt feeling that some of your mates might bear the brunt of your choices — everything is perfectly fair here.

The food and the payment system aren't the only pieces of excellent news. The restaurant is opening three new London sites in 2018, doubling their London presence. Soon you'll be able to enjoy the Italian eatery's delicious food in the redeveloped London landmark Centre Point. Later in 2018, Vapiano comes to Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.

So head to Vapiano if you want a meal that leaves your friendship intact at the end of the evening.

Check out Vapiano in Soho, Great Portland Street or Bankside and keep an eye on their website for news of future openings.
