Dose Up On Summer Vibes At Boom Burger

If it’s summer vibes you’re after, Jamaican burger shack Boom Burger is serving them up by the bucketload. The menu at this Notting Hill restaurant is small — burgers, salads, wings and fries — leaving these guys to specialise in what they know.

One bite of the Bacon Boom burger will have you craving that tangy melted cheese for weeks on end, matched perfectly to the crispy bacon. The jerk sauce on the Boom Wings caters towards the tamer end of the market, and those looking for something a little spicier may not be satisfied by the dull tang.

Refreshing, fruity rum cocktails more than make up for that though. The pina colada might be too sweet for some, but the icy concoction hits the spot on a summer evening.

At the moment, the restaurant's Sunshine Deal offers a burger and a side for £14 on weekdays between 5pm and 7pm. It's not the cheapest deal going, but the burgers stand their ground and the sides are very generously portioned.

It was a parching summer evening when we went along, the outside seating area beneath the Westway full of sun-seeking diners. This place gets busy on weekday evenings (the inside seating area is tiny), and we can only imagine what it’s like at weekends, so it's worth noting that takeaway is available.
