Remember Lumiere London, the light festival which lit up central London's streets in January 2016? It's coming back for a second outing early next year.

Over 40 artists from all over the world will bring their light installations to the city. Once again, light art will be on display in King's Cross and the West End for four nights, courtesy of Artichoke.

Covent Garden, Victoria, South Bank and Waterloo have been added to the route this year. 1.4 million people turned out to see the art on display in 2016 — impressive, considering it took place on some of the coldest nights of the year.

Announcing the festival, Sadiq Khan said

Lumiere London 2018 will be bigger, brighter and bolder than ever before – with even more areas of our city involved and even more people expected to visit this incredible festival.

Didn't make it along to Lumiere London 2016? Here's what you can expect:

Lumiere London takes place 18-21 January 2018. Keep an eye on the Visit London page for further details.
