Adam & Eve

Adam & Eve

Part of our Best Pubs in London microsite. See if we've included your local.

Homerton's Adam & Eve has space in abundance. If you're in a numerous group in east London and need somewhere to house everyone, then this is a good bet. The pub has plenty of tables: inside, outside and somewhere in between. That in-between is a quirky covered section in the beer garden, resplendent with framed pictures, bunting and fairy lights.

Spacious does not however mean quiet, especially on Sunday, AKA roast day. If you're with a lot of people, it's worth booking ahead to grab a table. The roasts are reliable and warming — just like they should be.

To stake its credentials as a quirky east London pub, there's an L-shaped pool table. Don't worry traditionalists — there's a regular one too. If you reckon you're a decent player than it's worth heading down on Tuesday nights, when a weekly tournament has booze and food up for grabs.

Beer selection delivers on both keg and cask — we stuck to the local Five Points XPA for the day, but there's much more to try should you wish. Also, drinks aren't too pricey, something that cannot be said for many of the pubs in the area.
