Wembley Park: One Of London's Most Instagrammable Christmas Spots
Love, Love, Love - a new site-specific artwork

Keep your gaudy baubles and tacky tinsel: Brent's snazzy new neighbourhood of Wembley Park takes Christmas decor to the next level with its selection of bold (and highly Instagrammable) new outdoor artworks.

The creative district has teamed up with international design journal Disegno to commission a winter revamp of the 'Spanish Steps' and create a Christmas tree with a contemporary twist.

Feel the love as you ascend the stairs which connect Wembley Stadium with Arena Square — Committee design studio has drenched them in metallic gold and adorned them with a trompe l'oeil that carries a fitting festive message.

The designers with their work

Of course, it wouldn't be Christmas without a tree. Silo Studio's Fata Morgana has gone one better by creating a forest of ribbon around a steel box the size of a shipping container — a tribute to the soon-to-be-launched Boxpark Wembley (don't miss the launch party on 8 December.)

Fata Morgana is a modern take on the traditional Christmas tree

As the sun sets over Wembley Park, the 'tree' transforms into shades of pink, blue and purple. You'll find it in the heart of Arena Square.

After dark, make a beeline for the Light Maze. This seven foot tall light-and-glass labyrinth designed by Brut Deluxe encompasses all the colours of the rainbow. Get just a little bit lost in its jewel-toned passage ways and snap a cheeky selfie or two while you're there — no filter needed.

Of course, there's more to life than getting snap happy. All three installations are part of Wembley Park's Xmasbox season of wonder — featuring free creative workshops, vintage fairs and live performances. See what's going on and start planning your festive day out.
