It's easy to cocoon away on the sofa in February, like a grizzly bear in hibernation. However, if you go down that path, you're missing out on all the great things London has to offer. One of our favourites each year comes in the form of TfL's Winter Wanders.

These are walks from experienced tour guides tackling a variety of topics while keeping your little legs active. Highlights include a walk around the City Sculpture Trail, following the Parkland Walk between Highgate and Stoke Newington and a Cinema walk that takes you from Charlie Chaplin to Harry Potter. If you've got the littl'uns with you, try the Family Favourites, a walk that doubles as a quiz.

It all happens over the weekend 3-4 February, with over 40 walks taking place. Lots are in central London but if you're an intrepid explorer, venture out to High Barnet and Cockfosters. Be sure to book in advance, some of the most popular walks are already full.

Take a look at the full programme here.
