Which Is London's Grottiest Tube Station?
A bloody mop at (if memory serves) King's Cross.

Where, would you say, is London's grubbiest tube station?

By and large, the London underground is a clean, well-maintained sort of place, at least if you compare it to somewhere like the New York subway. But not all stations are as bright and gleaming as the new Tottenham Court Road or the cavernous Canary Wharf.

This one's a 'ghost station', Down Street, so the dust is understandable... but it shows how grimy these spaces can get.

Some platforms attract litter thanks to high footfall. Others are prone to vandalism and graffiti. Those in the West End perhaps get more than their fair share of Code 2s and 3s.

Many deep level stations suffer from water intrusion, leading to grotesque abscesses on the walls. Here's an example at Old Street.

Ground water is such a problem, that it's led to a profusion of these strange mop-creatures, which we've dubbed greywyrms.

So, we're wondering, which corners of the network do you find most unpleasant? Is it the litter, vandalism, grime, poor maintenance or puddles of undisclosed origin that you notice most? Please leave comments (and photos) below.
